“The concept expresses our core brand values, safety, dependability, capability for outdoor activities and a forward looking attitude,” said Takeshi Tachimori, a corporate executive vice president at Fuji Heavy Industries — Subaru’s parent company.

In person, the VIZIV-7 concept looks as huge as it is. Subaru is working on a 3-row, 7-seat SUV to fill void left by the automaker’s unloved Tribeca. Subaru is showing off just how big its future seven-seat SUV will be. In September, Nick Senior, Subaru Australia’s managing director, told CarAdvice that the new SUV is “US only, being built in the US and the US production line is only left hand drive”.  It’s unclear whether the Tribeca nameplate will be revived since it was discontinued in 2014, or if Subaru will give the replacement a new name. Auto Show, the Subaru Viziv-7 Concept is the largest ever from the Japanese automaker and previews the brand’s replacement for the Tribeca. Initially it will only be sold in North America. Unveiled at the 2016 L.  Whatever it will be called, the seven-seater will ride on Subaru’s new global platform and it will be built at the company’s Indiana plant starting in 2018.

The lower apron hosts a set of hexagonal-shaped foglamps, which is also reflected at the rear, the same with the faux skid plates. While at the rear, you’ll also note the compact C-shaped taillights with a strip of LEDs running across the rear hatch, linking the lighting units.
